Villa Park Public Library is at the heart of the community offering programs for all ages. In addition to general services offered by the library, the folowing are available for patrons: - Photocopiers -Cd/ Casette Players -Meeting Rooms -Study Rooms -Display Case The Library building is accessible by ramp and automatic door, with an interior elevator to the Youth Services Department and the Ohrman Program and Meeting Room on the second floor. Library staff members are available to retrieve books from shelves which a patron cannot reach and to assist patrons who are physically unable to use the Library's computers. Computer service for the visually impaired is facilitated through ZoomText, installed on one computer featuring both Microsoft Office and access to the Internet. ZoomText functions both as a screen reader and a screen magnifier. ZoomText was donated to the Library by the Villa Park Lions Club. The Library's collections include a number of popular books printed in large type or in audiobook format. The Library also provides persons with temporary or permanent visual, physical, or reading disabilities with referrals to the Voices of Vision Talking Book Center, a program for free library services sponsored by the Library of Congress and funded by the Illinois State Library.
